The KamaSalsa classes are designed in a street style salsa. Dance patterns are directed in a cross body style. All footwork and patterns are technically instructed based on an eight count rhythm with emphasis on the first count of “one”. Students are encouraged to express themselves, have fun and get out and try new moves on the dance floor and many other cultural events.

No partner necessary!

About Diana

Founder/Creator of Kamasalsa

Diana has been dancing since the age of three studying ballet. In addtion, she fell in love with the movements of modern dance balanced with the alignment, physiology and mind/body connection of yoga. It was during a co op in Miami, Florida where she found salsa and knew it was the right path. The dancers were not only beautiful ,but connected to each other to the music. As soon as she started dancing, her teaching career began. Her philosophy is to break down steps so each student understands the foundation and has fun in the process. Now, fourteen years later KamaSalsa has grown into a community of classes, events and more for students of all backgrounds and levels.

She is thankful for learning and growing every day with her team to share ideas and spread the word of the dance and fitness community. Her inspirations are: Liz Lira, Joby Brava, Edie The Salsa Freak, Super Mario and her yoga instructors who have shared the love of teaching.
